In this article, the authors analyze the potential of youth entrepreneurship as the main resource for implementing technological entrepreneurship projects in the context of industry 4.0 and increasing the volume of startups in Russia. The trends and potential of promising segments of technological entrepreneurship for the younger generation are assessed on the basis of comparative analysis, synthesis and forecasting methods. The analytical base is the research data of consulting firms, public organizations and associations. In addition, according to recent studies, in order to realize the potential in the field of technological entrepreneurship, it is necessary to develop a set of skills that will help not only launch startups, but also maintain their functioning in a long-term context. Such skills include a certain combination of soft and hard skills.
