Abstract

External environment contributes to the rapid spread of approaches to project management in business. A project is defined as a unique activity, limited in scope of work, budget, duration, quality and designed to meet the needs of project customers. Projects are considered as tools to achieve the strategic goals of a company, but often the actual results of the project do not correspond to the original plan. From the point of view of organizational management, project management is the basis for achieving the goals of the organization, because the success of individual projects determines the success of project programs and project portfolios, while the strategic layer of the organizational environment depends on their success. Thus, project failures can affect the entire company. In order to achieve the set project goals and successfully obtain a project product of appropriate quality on time and within the planned budget, project managers must gain appropriate knowledge and learn the best international practices. This is important for project managers, as they will use them in conditions of limited resources and uncertainty in the external environment. Project management is inextricably linked to the success of the project, so a deeper study of each of the aspects of this process is necessary.
