Abstract

In the context of the transition to a highly volatile development cycle of the Russian economy, the constant focus of the company's management on the task of a systematic approach to increasing labor productivity is the key to long-term economic growth of both individual enterprises and the state as a whole. The presented study is empirical in nature on the basis of an industrial metallurgical holding. The authors test their own concept and methodology for transforming the personnel motivation system on the example of one of the largest metallurgical holdings in Russia, which has a unique history and a number of outstanding technological achievements. As part of the work, the main approaches to the implementation of a project for the transformation of the personnel motivation system are disclosed and the tools for implementing the methodology in industry are described. The key characteristic of the project is a comprehensive, integrated approach to its development and implementation based on both Russian and international experience. The authors also draw attention to a number of innovations implemented in practice, in relation to the introduction of methods for increasing labor productivity. The result of testing the new methodology was the creation of a new mechanism that encourages employees to achieve higher and, most importantly, sustainable indicators of financial and economic activity in the long term (over 3 years). The methodology developed and tested within the framework of the project and described by the authors can also be implemented at other heavy industry enterprises as a tool to increase the productivity of production and non-production personnel, both in the short and long term.
