Abstract

The article is devoted to the marketing analysis of the key trends in the development of the world market of electric buses. The authors analyze the contribution of electric cars to solving environmental problems and achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals, study the current state of the electric car market and identified its growth rates in leading geographical segments. The key prerequisites for the development of macro segments of passenger electric vehicles, commercial electric vehicles and electric buses are revealed. It is shown that one of the most attractive is the segment of urban electric buses, the indicators of its development are analyzed and the dynamics of sales growth is described. The peculiarities of transformation of the product line of electric buses depending on their purpose and average power reserve are studied. A set of measures at the national and municipal levels stimulating the development of this market segment has been identified and justified. The main limitations in the development of the electric bus market are revealed and ways to overcome them are determined.
