Abstract

The scientific article presents an overview of research approaches devoted to the concept of «new industrialization», and proposes the author's structural and functional model of the technological development of industrial regions, based on the concept of «new industrialization». The relevance of the study lies in the creation of a modern paradigm for the technological development of industrial regions, in accordance with which a systemic vision and mechanism for the modernization and development of the regional economy should be built in order to ensure the technological sovereignty of the country. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of using the proposed structural and functional model of technological development in the development of strategic documents at the regional level for the modernization and development of the regional economy. The goal is to develop a model of technological development of industrial regions based on the analysis of approaches to the study of «new industrialization». In the process of work, such methods as comparison, analysis, synthesis, classification and systematization were used. During the analysis of scientific literature on this topic, the author noted that the new industrialization is one of the key areas of economic growth and regional development. Based on research on the issues of new industrialization, the author has developed a structural-sectoral model of the technological development of industrial regions, which fixes: a) innovative renewal of traditional industries; b) priority development of high-tech sectors (V and VI technological modes). The developed model can be used as a conceptual basis for the development of programs for the modernization of traditional manufacturing industries and the priority development of the high-tech sector of the regional economy.
