Abstract

The article is devoted to the definition of types of competitive behavior of enterprises and their classification. The paper substantiates the relevance of studying the issues of competitive behavior, carries out a critical analysis of the approaches to the classification of its types presented in the scientific literature, highlights their features and shortcomings. Special attention is paid to the study of meaningful features of competitive behavior, which served as a theoretical basis for the systematization of its types. The scientific result of the article is the classification of types of competitive behavior of enterprises proposed by the author, which maximally takes into account the distinctive features of the concept under study, and also includes the optimal number of classification criteria and thus simplifies the process of making managerial decisions regarding the development of strategies and tactics of competitive behavior. In the course of the study, the following were used: methods of analysis and synthesis (to clarify the essence of the concept of "competitive behavior", definition and systematization of its types), generalization method (to justify the classification features of the types of competitive behavior of enterprises), logical methods (to determine and form general conclusions). Further research within the framework of this topic can be aimed at improving the methodological tools for assessing the competitive behavior of enterprises based on the classification of its types proposed by the author of this article.
