Abstract

The issue of suicidal behavior of minors, as well as counteraction to it, remains relevant. The general tasks of establishing the causes and conditions for the involvement of minors in committing antisocial acts and inducing them to suicidal actions necessitate interaction between the investigator and municipal commissions for minors and protection of their rights. In the article, the author considers two levels of preventive work: through the implementation by the investigator of the powers provided for in Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, as well as through participation in advisory bodies, with examples from practical activities. Issues of interaction between the investigator and the juvenile affairs departments of territorial internal affairs bodies, procedural and non-procedural forms of such interaction have been sufficiently considered in criminology, however, they mainly concern only the investigation of crimes committed with the participation of minors, and in terms of organizing preventive work, countering the suicidal behavior of minors, practically are not covered in the scientific literature. The current organizational and administrative documents of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation do not provide for the development of plans for individual preventive work by police officers in relation to minors who have attempted suicide. The article draws conclusions about the prevention of suicide among minors.
