Abstract

This paper is concerned with professional activities involved in revealing and detecting crimes. These activities are regarded as aimed at quickly obtaining complete information on the event. The role of interrogation as the most complicated type of investigative actions is emphasized. It is noted that there is a great variety of methods for overcoming the counteraction to the investigation. The application of judicial psychophysiological expert examination as a method of obtaining reliable information is considered. The necessity of applying modern multimedia technologies in the process of interrogation is shown. The tendency of widening the possibility of using biometric parameters of a human face is analyzed. Attention is given to the possibility of using habitoscopic investigations in the study of the nonverbal face behavior. It is established that video records should be made of the testimony of the person to be interrogated in order to capture the emotional component of the testimony. The long-term benefits of using the method of detection, perception and analysis of the structure of the facial expression system of a person's face are shown. The main principles of the method are set forth, the course and the process of constructing the compositions of components are presented, and the process of analysis of the results is described.
