THE ASPECTS OF THE THEORY OF METAPHOR AS A LINGUISTIC PROBLEM

Abstract

All aspects of the problem that have ever been studied by domestic and foreign linguists in relation to metaphor theory are presented below. However, this problem still remains open. A list of taxonomic aspects of studying the theory of metaphor, consisting of one hundred items, is given for the first time. The article also outlines the most undeveloped aspects of this study with references to researchers’ works.
