Abstract

The article is devoted to the tendency of Tatar and Bashkir speakers to use word combinations and sentences as responses to word-incentives in speech. Tables and charts presented in the article clearly demonstrate the utterance-responses typical of all age groups, but their number depends not on the age-related changes but on the word-incentives given to the subjects. In our studies most word combinations were composed of such prepositions as турында (about), белән (with), the verb булу/булырга (to be) in the infinitive form, the verb килә (want) in the Tatar language; тураһында (about), менән (with), the verbs булыу/булырға (to be) and килә (want) in the Bashkir language. Typed and automated reactions were also attributed to word combination-responses. Word combinations and sentences given by the subjects preserve logical relationships between the word-incentive and the response. Stereotypes fixed in a definite word or language play an important role in the process of association, and the set of standard associative links makes the associative field of the word.
