Abstract

The article examines the history of first Mongol army invasion to the territory of Eastern Europe in 1222-1223, circumstances of their war against Cumans and Rus'. The author draws a conclusion about unsuccessful endeavour оf Mongols to conquer peoples of Eastern and Central Europe.
