Abstract

The author of the article attempts to evaluate the methodological significance of Stalin's statements for the Soviet historiography of politogenesis problems. The research is focused on the period of 1930-1950-ies, when the establishment of the Soviet historical science itself has been completed, and it was forced to react to current events, in particular to the crisis of the world revolutionary process, avoiding the theoretical contradictions. In the course of consideration of the historiographical situation, taking into account achievements of philosophy and methodology of science, a nontrivial conclusion is made up about the progressive influence of Joseph Stalin on the Soviet theory of politogenesis.
