PROFESSOR LARRY E. HOLMES IN THE VYATKA REGION: IN MEMORY OF AN OUTSTANDING HISTORIAN

Abstract

This paper is dedicated to the memory of the USA historian, Professor Larry Holmes, who died in the city of Kirov in 2022. For more than two decades, he was associated with the Vyatka region, wrote his scientific works based on the archival and library data of Kirov. The paper outlines the most important areas of the L. Holmes’ scientific activity in the field of studying public education in the USSR and daily life in Russia, as well as his methodological approaches. The list of books published by him is given.
