Abstract

The article discusses the means of dialogization of monologic speech in politics. Political struggle motivates its participants to search for the most effective ways of influencing the audience. In their attempts to establish good relations with the audience politicians use rhetorical means allowing them to create among the audience the feeling of their participation in the dialogue. Speech dialogues help to emphasize the parity of the speaker and the audience positions. The use of figurative dialogues allows the speaker to attract audience attention, to demonstrate his/her own interest in the issues to be solved and engage the audience in issues discussions making trust and audiences’ appeal. The effectiveness of rhetoric figures in public speech has been proven over time. Thus, attempting to grab audience attention and trying to introduce their pursuit of power in their speech, most experienced speakers widely use different means and methods that create the feeling of audience participation in the dialogue. In recent years, modern politicians try to avoid the use of means of dialogization for different reasons, which can significantly impoverish their speech and bring to losing audience attention.
