Abstract

The article considers the results of the application of methods of correlation analysis of data decryption of satellite images, satellite data of the gravitational field, heat flux values and ground-based geological and geophysical data (geotectonic, seismological) measured in the region of the Pre-Caspian concentric depression. As a result, local concentric morphological structures with high values of gravity field and heat flow, promising for the search for new oil and gas fields, were identified in this and surrounding regions. From the constructed regional deep seismic sections across the entire territory of the Pre-Caspian concentric depression, the spatial location of a new presumably gas-prospective local ring morphological structure associated with a salt dome-shaped diaper-giant was revealed. A new hypothesis is also proposed, which makes it possible to explain, along with traditional hypotheses (gravitational, tectonic with tangential compression), how the processes of formation of salt diapirs can take place on the territory of the Pre-Caspian concentric depression.
