Abstract

Today, in conditions when in society from time to time heated debates inflame on an occasion of the language expansion, first of all it is necessary to define a main goal and paramount tasks in preservation and purity of the Udmurt language. In this article, based on an analysis borrowed (Russian and Turkish origin) vocabulary of Kuzebay Gerd attempted to define and justify the challenges of modern language policy in Udmurtia. In our view, the problem of translation of foreign vocabulary that by enormous flow enters now in the Udmurt language is more relevant than the problem of translation established borrowed terms. In an effort to translate the established terms, we do not see a confident entry of new foreign words in the basic structure of language, lexical development of their language. Perhaps a more important issue today is not even in the language, and its use in the wrong. Priority should be given just to raise their mother tongue and common language culture.
