Abstract

Based on the material of Karachay-Balkarian good wishes (algyshla), the article reveals the features of the use of the lexeme "nasyp" ("happiness"), and identifies the main elements that form it. The relevance is due to the fact that in the Karachay-Balkarian folklore there are no studies devoted to the complex analysis of the genre unit -algysh, and the lexeme "nasyp" in particular. When entering into a marriage, on the occasion of the birth of a child, before an important trip, taking office, on the occasion of a state, religious, national, folk holiday, a significant purchase, a change of residence, finding a home, for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. the wishes of longevity of life" (uzak yomur), "health" (sauluk), "mind" (akyl), "strength" (kyuch-qaryu), "immeasurable wealth" (yolchemsiz bailyk), "beautiful fate" (ariu kadar), “honor” (namys), “joy” (kuuanch) are presentative ones. It is noted that, being ethno-identifying markers, they occupy a central place in the axiological consciousness of the people and largely contribute to the formation of a picture of the world. For the analysis, mainly texts of the paremic block, algyshi proper (voluminous / non-voluminous texts functioning in the genre space of folklore), as well as verbal constructions from the traditional vital-recreative practices of the Karachay-Balkarian people, are involved. The research methods in the work were structural-semantic, hermeneutic-interpretive, systemic, as well as the method of comparative analysis.
