Abstract

The purpose of the study is to identify topics important for the smooth functioning in the language space of those who study Russian as a foreign language. The article deals with active processes in the modern Russian language from the point of view of their influence on the construction of the methodology of teaching the Russian language to foreign students. Particular attention is drawn to such changes in the language system that are currently manifested most consistently in the speech practice of native speakers, including in the Internet space. In particular, these are shifts at the phonetic level, the use of the letter “ё” in written speech, changes in grammar, in vocabulary, as well as in the field of word formation. It is concluded that in order to improve the level of proficiency in Russian as a foreign language, it is necessary to include in the program the topics related to the main trends in the development of the language.
